Transmission speed sensors measures speed parameters of the gearbox and send this data to the Transmission Control Unit (TCU). With the help of this information the TCU controls the process of gear shifting. The pressure sensor estimates the ATF pressure and helps to specify the shifting pressure quite accurately. If this sensor is jamming or not moving, smoot over the shaft and it should set a fault code for the stepper motor.
